About Us
We’re a small family farm located in eastern Iowa with a passion for sustainably raised and locally sourced food.
Knoblock Family Farms is a family-based small farm located in eastern Iowa that is committed to raising quality food for our community.
The farm started when Alex began raising honeybees and selling honey in junior high. During that time, he also helped his family raise and process meat chickens for themselves. In high school, Alex began raising, processing and selling chickens as a small business venture. With the help of his family, he continued to grow the business throughout college, adding cows, turkeys, and pigs, in addition to meat chickens, honey, and beeswax.
In 2025, Alex married Anne. Anne grew up on a small farm in Illinois and helped her family raise sheep and other animals, as well as grow a garden and care for fruit trees. She is excited to put these skills to use in helping with the farm.
Together, with the help of Alex’s family, we are focusing on growing the farm business. As it grows, we are committed to maintain the same values we began with. This includes a focus on raising the animals in a natural way, without antibiotics, hormones, or vaccinations. The animals spend most of their lives outside on pasture to promote both soil and animal health. Knoblock Family Farms’ goal is to provide food for the community that is good for the land, good for the animals, and good for you.
